Narrative
A synthetic hexaploid. Tall with late maturity, resistant to the prevalent races of crown rust and stem rust, has tolerance to BYDV Seed color white with hairy glumes. Semi-prostrate juvenile growth. P.G. Rothman: "Origin traces back to an interspecific cross between tetraploid A. magna and diploid A. longiglumis. The sterile F1 plant was treated with colchicine and a single seed was obtained. That seed produced a partially fertile plant with 42 chromosomes (a synthetic hexaploid)." [See CIav 9364, PI 524422-524424 for accessions from the same Crop Science registration.]
