Description:
Apparently, RRC 37 was contaminated during seed increases and handling before reaching the NPGS. RRC 37 was separated into 4 accessions: Ames 1985 (RRC 37A), Ames 1986 (RRC 37B), Ames 1987 (RRC 37C), and Ames 1988 (RRC 37D). Each of these RRC 37 segregates is a different species. The oldest RRC 37 seed lot donated to the RRC is Amaranthus tricolor 'Chin' which is represented by RRC 37D, Ames 1988. The three other accessions originated as contaminants.
