Locality: Village of Charri in the Baltistan district, about 38km northwest of Skardu; collected from trees scattered in wheat field on broad terrace owned by Ali Khan; general topography is a river valley in the mountains

Environment description: Full sun exposure; sandy loam soil, fairly stony; good drainage; surrounded by wheat, mulberry, apricot

Type = Apricot. Per the collection observation notes of Maxine Thompson: "Harvest date mid-late July; fruit 16g, 35mm long, 33-30mm wide, elliptic, slightly pointed apex, moderately attractive; skin lt. orange, pubescent, no blush; flesh lt. orange, medium eating quality, poor aroma, moderately firm, moderately juicy, intermediate texture; seed elliptic, 1.7g, weakly bitter; stone free; not quite ripe at time of colleciton (some fruits yellow-gree); said to be as good as Hai Mon and ripens at the same time."
