Narrative
Type = Peach. Per Register of New Fruit and Nut Varieties, 2nd ed. (see citation): "Orig. in Modesto, California, by C.R. Flory. Introd. in 1945. Seed brought from northern China in 1938. Fruit: flesh white, tender, fine aroma, bitter, freestone; resembles White Heath; cans well. Tree: dwarf, growing about 2-3 ft. tall; flower very large, showy, bright red, very ornamental, similar to a flowering peach; high chilling requirement. Primarily for home gardens."
