Comments: Flower: single; 50 mm diam.; white. Fruit: size large for a crab, 40 mm; skin light yellow, 20% orange blush; shape round-oblate; flesh semifirm, light yellow; flavor slightly acid, slightly astrigent; eating quality poor; harvest season late September, 2 wks before Delicious; sometimes grown for jelly making. Tree: very larage, strong growing; dense foliage; productive; fruits drop as they ripen. Ornamental flowering crab apple. --R.D. Way, 1992.
