Narrative
Type = Peach. Valuable only for late bloom and late ripening. Flower showy, low cropping efficiency; 1300 chilling requirement, reniform; skin heavy pubescence, flesh yellow, fruit size 2-2 1/8 inches, shape round, ground color poor, very firm flesh, poor eating quality; small stone, cling stone; ripens 25 days after Elberta; susceptible to bacterial leaf spot. Per J.E. Morrow as quoted in PI book: "Tree No. 8, Test Nursery. Fruits 2 by 2 1/8 inches; average weight 4 ounces; color golden with a faint-red blush; basin deep and narrow, slight depression at suture; flesh deep yellow; pit small, yellow; flesh of good texture and flavor. This peach should be propagated for canning purposes. It is of smaller size than last season and later in ripening."
