Locality: Collected in Waliabad, about 100km northwest of Gilgit, in a gully on Muzafar Wali's farm (up the Gilgit River towards Gupis).
Coordinates: 36.2667, 73.5667 (Map it)
Elevation: 2060m.
Environment description: River valley in the mountains. Full sun exposure, 25 degree slope, southern aspect. Silt soil, very stony, well-drained.

Collector's note: nut maturity end of September to early October. Part of the fruit is blue-black and part is yellow-red. Only the blue-black fruit sinks - the others must be aborted, high percentage aborted.
