Locality: Collected in Hazara, 12km northwest of Kwai on a steep slope above the Kunar River, about 35m, by roadside.
Coordinates: 34.7333, 73.5500 (Map it)
Elevation: 1385m.
Environment description: River valley in the mountains. Full sun exposure, 80 degree slope, western aspect. Silty loam soil, moderate stoniness, well-drained.

Comment: Associated vegetation: scattered Acer, Salix, Cedrela, Olea, Cornus, Cedrus deodara, other shrubs and herbs.
