Locality: Collected in Chitral, about 30 km northeast of Drosh, from a slpe above a river in the Shishi Valley.

Elevation: 2215m.
Environment description: River valley in the mountains. Full sun exposure, 35 degree slope, southern aspect. Shattered slate soil, moderate stoniness, well-drained.
Number of plants sampled: 1
Comment: Associated begetation: Quercus baloot, Fraxinus, few Ceorus deodara. Collector's note: This was the only tree this high in elevation. Fruits not fully ripe but hopefully seeds are. No fruits fallen yet.
