Anthocyanin pigments are not observed in any vegetative plant parts, including the stem, auricles, lemma, and awn. The straw does not develop a purple pigmentation as it approaches maturity. The recommended symbol for the dominant allele is Ant2.c (formally Pr1.a). Inheritance: Monofactorial recessive.
