Narrative
'Rubin' means Ruby in Russian, perhaps referring to the color of the fruit. Developed in the I.V. Michurin Central Laboratory of Genetics in Michurinsk, Lithuania. Scions collected in the Kanus Botanical Institute in Lithuania by T. Plocher of Minnesota in 1989.
