Narrative
Medlar obtained from M.N. Westwood plot at Oregon State University in 1983. Clones CMES 1, CMES 2, CMES 3 and CMES 4 may be identical, but had been grafted on different rootstocks. Westwood obtained CMES 3 from former OSU pomologist Quintin B. Zielinski, and the other trees may have been propagated from this clone. -- J. Postman, 2006
